Rating: B :
The latest film in the Twilight franchise is the best, but not by much. I would be shocked if any film in this series steps out of the B range, but Eclipse definitely has the biggest chance of doing so for many people. Bella returns and bites her lip for an additional two hours, continually making women around the world wonder why men are attracted to her. Robert Pattinson returns and makes guys wonder the same. I have a notion to simply dip my head into white dust and walk around to see if I can drum up the type of women he is apparently having no trouble doing.
Eclipse pokes fun at itself in a few moments and definitely takes the Werewolf vs Vampire idea to an exciting level. Some of the battle scenes are well done and can keep your attention. A major complaint I have with the film is the easy dismissal of one of its primary villains. To avoid spoiling the film for you, I will just say that a fairly dominant villain in the series returns for a battle and is eliminated rather easily, which saddened me since to this point in the franchise this villain was known as being a fairly tough cookie.
All in all, this is the best of the series thus far. The next one is set to be released next summer, so get your Team Edward and Team Jacob shirts all geared up. I'm in the latter category if there is a gun to my head just FYI :).
