Chana's Rating: A+ : This was a wonderful movie! First off, BOTH children stayed glued to the screen...it would slow down, then speed right back up in momentum...thus gaining their rapt attention. My Mom enjoyed it, so 3 generations thought it was the best childrens movie we have seen in a while- I'll buy the DVD. So,
I highly recommend this to all, even those with no kids. Dustin Hoffman is an incredible voice actor. And the poor princess, wait til you see what she goes through......

Sebastian's Rating: C : i'm going to totally disagree with you Channa.

2008 was a very good year for the animations. Wall-e being one of the best animations of all time, kung fu panda was a great blockbuster hit, and ive heard bolt wasn't too bad either. this movie however, it totally differs.

I felt like the moral of this story was just nothing out of the ordinary, there are plenty of other great films about the same sort of story. its pretty predictable once you watch the trailer.

The animation was ok, however the movie seemed to go on for a fair bit, a little long. I can't complain too much, I was invited to come along to the movies, and i didnt have to pay so i took the oppertunity.

This movie was bad... but it certainly wasn't great. I think it's just an average film, i felt like it could have been much better.

The main thing about animation is there is something for everyone. From Fantasia to toy story, From a goofy movie to the iron giant (personally one of my favourites.) Every animation delivers entertainment only something that doesn't exsist yet so real can deliver. As i was watching wall-e, i felt something special for the characotr of wall-e, the lonely robot. In monsters inc, you feel something for the monster, randall, as he finds out that "boo" is not a monster. In this movie, i didn't feel anything. I felt it colourless and bland in a way. Dustin hoffman is a great voice actor yes, however i felt like Kung fu panda was a better choice.

The Freak's Rating: C- : The Tale of Desperaux lacks an interesting story and falls flat due to lack of on-screen charisma generated by all voice actors.  If you're a regular reader of my reviews then you know I have major issues with casting for voiceovers in animation.  This one is far underdone, having barely recognizable voices.  Had the mouse not had large ears, inspiring multiple "oh, he's so cute" reactions from the audience, this is in the D range.
