The Freak's Rating: D : A good cast can never save horrendous writing. The Goods is a top-notch example of how this formula never works, despite Hollywood's continued attempts at forcing it into doing so. Jeremy Piven is a wonderful performer when his character is bigger than life. He succeeds in a way few ever will with Ari Gold in HBO's Entourage, and though his character here is quite similar (no doubt on purpose), even he can't save the film.

Ving Rhames once again proves to us that his only good role was in Pulp Fiction and the remainder of the cast does a decent job of conveying awful material. Take a lesson execs, this doesn't work! Without a few laughs from Ed Helms, this falls completely flat. Regardless of Helms and Piven, this isn't worth your time.
