Synopsis:

In Ruggsville, Texas, the police under the command of Sheriff John Quincy Wydell attack the house of the sadistic serial killers Firefly family.

The Freak's Rating: B+ : As I said in my review of Rob Zombie's first directorial effort, House Of 1,000 Corpses, these are the films that truly scare me.  I'm not nearly as terrified of Freddy Kreuger as I am of a guy who everyone thought was normal until he went nuts and killed all his neighbors and friends.

Director Rob Zombie focuses on what truly causes fright, showcasing a family of insane characters who thrive on violence and have zero respect for human life.  Thrown into the mix in this sequel is the fantastic Sheriff John Quincy Wydell, played beautifully by William Forsythe.  Hunting down the Firefly family in ruthless fashion, Wydell is so evil that he has you wondering who you're rooting for in some parts of the film.

More budget, more actors and most importantly more scares are added to the original to create this sequel.  It is a couple notches above the original in all areas, showcasing Zombie's evolution as a filmmaker with every frame.  With the disturbing scenes and haunting visuals here, you'll be scared over this one for days after.
