Brian's Rating: D+ : I have always been interested in history, and consequently I am interested in movies that are about history.  Unfortunately, reading a history book is not terribly entertaining, and so I expect more when I see a movie.  I am ok with liberal use of dramatics so long as it does not destroy central facts.  In this movie, I am not positive on how factual it was, but I can say that it needed more dramatics.  The history was interesting, but the interest stops there for this film.  Most of the story drags along and there just was not much of a climactic ending.

I also just do not buy Jeff Daniels as George Washington.  Sure, he tries as hard as he can to pull it off, but I will just never get over the image of him with his tongue stuck to a frozen pole.
