Synopsis:

The Big Lebowski's main character, The Dude, is a case of mistaken identity when criminals break into his pad and urinate on his rug in an attempt to reprimand a Lebowski.  The Dude is crushed since they destroyed his favorite rug, finds the true Lebowski and attempts to get restitution for it.  What follows is a comic adventure of vikings, bowling, halucinations, car accidents from joints, chopped off toes and the best performances Jeff Bridges, John Goodman and John Turturro have ever done.

The Freak's Rating: A : My users have nailed this film in their ratings.  I'd say about 1 out of 50 comedies released has repeatability.  Out of those, 1 out of 10 has quotability.  Out of those 1 out of 20 has what I call the "clicking through factor".  The "clicking through factor" is the phenomenon that some movies possess that prevents you from clicking past them if you are channel surfing and see the film on.  The Big Lebowski is one of the latter and is comedic genius.

The Big Lebowski has a scene in it with a joint, a trash can and Creedence Clearwater Revival tunes that I have watched on repeat about a hundred times.  The Coen brothers, creators of such gems as Fargo and No Country For Old Men, are in amazing form as comedic storytellers.  This is one of my all time favorite comedies.

Jennifer M's Rating: A+ : I know many people don't like this film, but come on.  Lighten up and remember those college days.  The talent in this film is outstanding and it probably is one of the funniest movies of all time.  Dude!

Angie's Rating: A : Maybe I'm not as enthusiastic about it as guys would be, but definitely a fun movie... a superabundance of quotable quotes.  I really enjoyed it.  Glad I was talked into seeing this one.

Brian's Rating: A : Few comedies can be watched over and over again and still make you laugh.  This is one of them.  There is a plot thrown in, but what you really watch this for is to see the characters of Walter, Donny, and "The Dude" interact.  There are a few odd "dream sequences", but other than that, the movie flows well.  It cracks me up every time.

Sebastian's Rating: A- : this film has a great storyline and a few laugh out loud gags, but i don't rekon there was enough; as in there could have been more.

however this film was well done and shouldn't be missed
