Synopsis:
Jesse Stone (Selleck) is a New
England police chief investigating a series of murders, in an adaptation of
Robert B. Parker's novel.
Brian's
Rating: C :
The 2nd in the Jesse Stone line of movies, this
one begins to show failings in writing. Jesse
Stone is a carbon copy from the first movie, and
straight up copied some script elements.
Consistency is good, but in doing some of the
same gimmicks that made him appear cool in the
first, they began to get old already.
The real problem with the movie is the
straight-up implausibility of the murder mystery
itself. The type of crimes being committed,
along with the frequency, would never allow for
a small town sheriff to take the lead unhindered
by larger authorities.
