Brian's Rating: B : For some reason, this is a tough movie to give a rating to.  Its independent, and low budget, and this shows up in the film quality.  However, I have to say that the quality of the directing was top notch.  Scenes were setup well, and flowed together well.  I also thought the lead actor did a good job.

In all marks the film succeeds, but I am just not exactly sure what it succeeded at.  Ultimately, I think its a sad film.  The main character is pathetic, and portrayed as such very well.  He thinks an experimental drug gave him the power to stand out in the form of super powers, but in reality he is just hallucinating.  This makes him even more pathetic.

However, he just keeps on going.  The final scene is done well, and really makes you feel sorry for him.  As I said, its a hard one to rate, but I am quite certain I liked it.  I am not sure exactly why.

As with other independent films, I would recommend it, if for no other reason than to just break away from the big studio blockbusters and give the little guy a chance.  I think its worth it to find good film making in an unknown place.
