Synopsis:

Alexandra Pelosi bounces back from her "Journeys with George" award-winning documentary as she follows the McCain campaign trail and interviews people on it.

The Freak's Rating: C+ : Journeys with George was a fascinating trip along the presidential campaign trail with George W Bush just a few short years ago. Afterwards, the GOP party praised Alexandra Pelosi (daughter of yes, Nancy). It was an interesting situation to watch. With so much hatred spewed from both parties towards one another, media opinion pieces rarely float fairly in the water between the two sides. Pelosi did so with the documentary and was acclaimed from all angles. I somehow doubt her latest film will carry the same praise.

Pelosi hits the campaign trail hard and finds some of the more entertaining, outspoken voices of the Republican party. I love it down south. I love grits, cornbread and hearing "bless your little heart" from casual aquaintances. They are my people, with certainty...except for some opinions they might have on progress. The south is commonly noted for backwards thinking, clinging to racism and anger over the equality that northerners shove down their throats. Pelosi finds just the right people to jam the accuracy of this in your face.

Far more slighted than her last venture into documentary filmmaking, Pelosi falls a few steps short of presenting anything I'd recommend. That said, it is reality TV at its finest to see the idiocy Americans still possess.
