Brian's Rating: B+ : I loved these books when I was a kid.  It was one of 2 series that I read a second time later in life.  There was a cartoon version of this movie at some point that was not very good at all, but I think because of it as well as some play scripts, this is the most known of the series.

Like Tolkein, I carried a strong bias into the movie based on the source material and was not disappointed at the adaptation.  The story was mostly true to the book, and did a good job of capturing the major plot elements and style.

Although I would love to do so, I cannot quite give put it in the A range because of a few flaws.  First, there are some added scenes that draw out an already long movie that did not need to be there.  Also, although some of the CGI is good, some of it is not and I am finding bad CGI to be more and more distracting.

I think some people criticize the child actors in this one, but they did not bother me.  I thought they did a good job of portraying the character roles from the book.

Sebastian's Rating: A- : Actually i quite liked this movie. As said by brian it's a quite well done book adaption, but i don't believe it contains that many flaws. every scene of this movie was good, entertaining all the time. the CGI wasn't that bad, was used well. Overall it should be in the A catergory, because it's a very well done book adaption.

The Freak's Rating: C+ : I'm going to catch some crap for this rating, but I honestly can't see myself watching it again.  Books translate to film with difficulty, but some definitely better than others, as in the sequel's case.  Prince Caspian was far better.  The CGI is completely overdone in the film and without Tilda Swinton, the film completely bombs in my opinion.  Once again, just because a movie is about God doesn't mean it is good.  Many Christians may feel guilted into appreciating the film, but I honestly just can't bring myself to recommend it.
