How many of you will always think of Kiefer
Sutherland as Doc? For those who answered
yes, you're right in line with my cinematic
upbringing. For those who didn't,
disregard the Young Guns reference.
Sutherland has put out a slew of decent films,
none critically praised. He has proven
that you don't have to have an arsenal of
talents if you can somehow attract support from
the public instead.
Sutherland seems stuck in his Jack Bauer
character (from Fox's 24). He regurgitates
the urgency of Bauer a number of times,
prompting me to mentally pause for the ticking
clock before the commercial break. I don't
know if he'll ever escape the stereotype of
Bauer for the remainder of his career.
Mirrors is a decent horror flick, containing its
necessary scare scenes (though they are few and
far between). There is a typical nice
horror movie twist and a hint of mystery that
keeps you curious what will happen next.
