Synopsis:

A phobic con artist and his protege are on the verge of pulling off a lucrative swindle when the con artist's teenage daughter arrives unexpectedly.

Brian's Rating: B : I like me a good con man movie, and I would put this in the good category.  Nicholas Cage has always been good at playing a cocky bastard, and does so again in this film.  You also get to see a soft side to his character as well as some self-healing.  Sort of like "As Good as it Gets" where Helen Hunt helps to cure Jack Nicklson, in this movie, Nicholas Cage's daughter helps to cure his character.  Throughout you see a slow transformation.

The underlying cons in this movie are innovative, and the characters are mostly captivating.  The actress who plays the daughter does an excellent job as as supporting cast member.  However the partner is only mediocre, and while needed in the plot he was mostly upstaged by the other 2.

The script has a good plot, a good twist, and a good resolution.  I liked the movie and would recommend it.

The Freak's Rating: C : Alison Lohman, of Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell, is adorable here and steals the show.  Cage and Rockwell are both excellent in their delivery of each line written for them, but the real "con" here is the script.  The film has some wonderful bright spots, but I found the final 30 minutes incredibly predictable, so for me it was middle of the road.
