Synopsis:

Four London working class stiffs pool their money to put one in a high stakes card game, but things go wrong and they end up owing half a million pounds and having one week to come up with the cash.

Brian's Rating: B+ : In an effort to see more Jason Statham films, this one hit the top of my list.  It was made by the same director that did "Snatch", and it reminded me a lot of "Snatch".  It also reminded me a lot of "Burn After Reading".  Like those two films, this one is a comedy of circumstance as an almost implausible set of events all come crashing together.

Granted, this movie is not for everybody, but I tend to like films like these.  Although not completely original in writing, it somehow still seems original.  Although I did not crack up as overtly as I did while watching "Burn After Reading", I did smile through quite a bit of the movie.  This is probably odd, since a lot of people die.

The Freak's Rating: B- : I was sent to see this film after seeing Trainspotting, told it was quite comparable.  I'm still waiting to write a full review on Trainspotting the next time I see it, but since Brian reviewed this I figured I'd shoot out a quick rating.  I think this is an ok film, funny in many parts and some notable characters, but not near the level of British comedy the country is capable of.
