Synopsis:
About a man who has trouble with his
job, trouble with women, and uses food to deal with it all.
The Freak's Rating: C+ :
Jeff Garlin is behind the funniest show on
television, Curb Your Enthusiasm. As an
executive producer on the show, Garlin spins
Larry David's ideas into a hysterical sarcasm
that scarcely has me straight-faced. Being
a veteran of Second City, Garlin immediately
gets my attention for all his projects and when
you added my favorite comedianne, Sarah
Silverman, to the mix it was irresistable.
I
Want Someone To Eat Cheese With deals with
heartache and loneliness for an actor/comedian
in Chicago. The settings are wonderful and
the acting is superbly funny. The film
suffers from a script that doesn't seem to know
where it is going. Wanting to be different
than most films in this genre, the film takes
turns that seem out of place and unnatural.
There
are some good laughs here and Silverman is as
adorable as ever, but it falls just short of a
recommendation due to the presence of writing
attempting to be over-original.
