Synopsis:

A woman who comes back to her home town in Smithville, Texas, with her daughter after a very sloppy and painful divorce has to deal with the people in her town

Angie's Rating: A : I had to do a review on this movie since Sandra Bullock won the Oscar... (btw: shocker to me) I love this movie, one of my favorite romantic comedies. Oh, and Forrest Whittacker directs it. I know the characters are a bit outlandish, but the writing and story are awesome. I think my favorite part is when the little girl Bernice, is trying to get rid of Justin (Connick) so he doesn't try to steal her mom away. She tells him that they had a pet skunk that her mom named Justin Matice and all day long she yelled, "you stink Justin Matice! Until one day she picked up a club and killed it." Justin then says, "Well, that's a sad story" Bernice replies, "Only if you like the skunk, which we didn't!" I absolutely love the humor, compassion, and heart of the film. If you've never seen it, you must! It's definitely a better performance by Bullock than The Blind Side.
