Synopsis:
After centuries of dueling to survive
against others like him, an immortal Scottish swordsman faces his final
opponent: a bloodthirsty barbarian who has chased him across time to 1985 New
York City, where they fight for the Prize: the spiritual ability to know
everything.
Brian's Rating: B+ :
1986, this was an A. In 1992 this was an A-, now its a B+. Why?
Because through no fault of its own, the special effects and some set design are
sub-par to today's standards. Normally that does not make any difference, but
when the the film has a focus on said effects, then it begins to detract from
the entertainment when you know it could be done better now. For example, a
Highlander sword fight will never look remarkably cool again after seeing Kill
Bill. So, throwing that shortcoming aside, it has an awesome story line, good
acting, and a cool bad guy. It is easily the best of the mass of Highlander
crap that came out in subsequent years.
Sebastian's Rating: A- : Meh it's true times are changing freak, and
theses days it's not as entertaining, but it's still a classic, and it deserves
an A minus
