Synopsis:

Three unemployed parapsychology professors set up shop as a unique ghost removal service.

The Freak's Rating: A : Is there any other grade to give a classic like this? This Halloween we watched two films, Natural Bork Killers (for the violence) and Ghostbusters (for the comedy). After this was released on Blu Ray, I knew it would be a purchase. I was only 8 years old when this hit theaters and barely remember it being out. The home video release, however, came when I was nearly 10 and VERY aware of movies on tape.

Ghostbusters was one of the first rentals I can remember begging my mother to let us keep longer. I was thrilled to see that nearly all of the comedy and much of the action holds up still today. Special Effects are far from perfect, especially with the broad strides we've made in that area of filmmaking in 25 years, but this is still a wonderfully entertaining film.

Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are at their best here and nearly every delivery makes you chuckle. Ghostbusters is a welcome revisit to my past and one I'll no doubt watch over and over again.
