Synopsis:
The sequel catches up with the
foursome, finding The Human Torch cockier than ever, Grim
hitched to the blind girl from the first one and Sue Storm
and Mr Fantastic ready to get married. Of course in the
midst of planning a superhero wedding, something strange
begins happening all over the world. Vast holes are dug
into the ground and strange anti-matter events are taking
place.

: First
off, my apologies for my lack in recent review consistency.
Jen & I have been really busy lately. It is crazy how much
you end up becoming involved. We recently printed out a
calendar view of the next two months of our lives in hopes
to find just a few days to be able to pencil in time with
our friends! I hope to get back into the swing of things
soon.
The movie is a tad cluttered with plot twists. In addition
to the nobody-cares romance, the writers take the return
of a great comic book character as very matter-of-fact and
never allow the audience to enjoy it. It is well-paced
though and at just over an hour and half whizzes right by.
My
most-trusted critic is Richard Roeper and he does have
excellent points about the lameness of the Fantastic Four
superheroes. Their character names are awful: The Human
Torch, Mr Fantastic... The catch-phrases are horribly
cheesy: Flame On, It's Clobberin' Time! The biggest
travesty is having Jessica Alba in your movie and making
her invisible :).
Regardless of the names and phrases, Fantastic Four isn't
a bad film. It has all the mediocrity in writing you'd
expect but also all the action scenes you'd look forward
to. Special effects are up to par with most other
superhero movies, humor is average and villains are
semi-impressive.
Sebastian's
Rating: B : yeah was ok, just a superhero
movie, however it would be better if it had more
violence, or action, there was hardly any
