Synopsis:
From the award winning producers of
Flywheel, comes a drama about a Christian high school football coach who uses
his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure. In six years of

After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers
that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head
coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When
Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger
purpose for his football team. He dares to challenge his players to believe God
for the impossible on and off the field. When faced with unbelievable odds, the
Eagles must step up to their greatest test of strength and courage.
Brian's Rating: F :
This was a terrible movie. I almost did not give this an F,
because I could conceive that the same movie could have incorporated devil
worship in lieu of Christianity. However, upon further reflection, I decided
that even this would have made the move better. Good concepts do not make a
good movie. I have tried hard to watch only well rated movies, and so only
stumbled into this one because I was hanging out with my brother while my
parents were in town, and he had it rented.
I had forgotten what truly bad acting was like. Even today's bad movies
typically have at least adequate acting. What I formally considered bad acting
is not even close to what I saw in this movie. What's more, every single cast
member was horrible. It was not just one of them, it was a team effort. It was
like they read the lines from a teleprompter. Maybe they did.
The movie has a heavy Christian theme to it, but I think it offered up bad
theology. It validates the health and wealth gospel that is so prevalent in
U.S. Christianity, and is fundamentally flawed in my opinion.
Additionally, the script is so boilerplate, that I convinced myself it was
written by a 4th grade student. Bad things happen; every single thing is
rectified, to the point of utter disbelief. All the kids at a high school got
along, and they threw in the soft background piano music just to round out the
cliche bag of tricks.
Seriously, most PSA's are better than this film. I do not even want anybody
else to review it to either agree or disagree with me, because it means that
they too have wasted 2 hours of their life.
This is the worst movie I have seen in at least a decade.
Michael's Rating: F :
I have to agree with the first reviewer on his review of this
movie. My wife found it on "On Demand" from Mediacom and told me that we should
watch it because it sounded like a good movie. I am the type that once I start
a movie I will watch it all the way through just to see if it is as bad as I
think that it is. So, I made her sit there and watch it with me(remember it was
her idea to watch it).
I found myself very uncomfortable with the many references to God and the
extremely bad acting. The entire cast was absolutely pathetic in there acting
abilities, and I now understand why I have never seen any of them in a movie
before or since. I, however, didn't just waste 2 hours of my life watching
this, I wasted 4 hours of my life cause I thought that it would be fun to turn
this movie into a party game. So, my friends and I watched it and everytime
that an actor used God's name, we took a drink. I know not very Christian like,
but hey, we weren't in church doing this. Anyway, we were wasted within the
first 30 minutes!!
I gave this movie an overall F for three reasons. One the acting was absolutely
horrific. Two, the references to God would make even the most devote Christian
uncomfortable. And three, I was able to take a movie that used God's name an
insane amount of times into a drinking game!!!
Please do not waste your time on this movie. I don't usually tell people to
stay away from a movie, but I feel that this time it is my duty to do so!!!
Robin's Rating: A : Wow, I am blown away that this movie has received 2
F's. This was a super low budget show and though it did not have Hollywood
names, the goodness it contained was enough to make it high on my list of
favorites. There are not many wholesome movies on the market and this one gets
rave reviews from me!
I own, have seen it twice, have shared it and will watch it again.
