Brian's Rating: C- : I do not know the background on this script, but I have got to believe it was originally from a book.  This would have been great as a book, but it had no chance on the big screen.

Christian Bale, as the lead actor in the film fails completely.  He had a difficult task ahead of him of portraying a character that was devoid of emotion, except not.  I was supposed to be interested in his character, but never really bought in.  I never really understood his motivations, and every relationship in the script was too shallow for what it should have been.

Again, I like the genre, and the idea.  I just did not find the movie any better than average at best.  I am probably even being too kind with that much.
