Synopsis:

This movie is one that you need to see to believe. In 1957 a young man named Burt Pugash gazed upon a young woman named Linda Riss. He became infatuated with her and she became intrigued by him. They struck up a love affair that lasted for a short while. What happens over the course of their lives as it relates to this "crazy" love they have for one another is too valuable for me to spoil through this review. Let's just say you'll be thankful for your spouse's sanity if you have one. If you don't, you'll know what NOT to look for in one.

The Freak's Rating: A : I am always amazed by true stories. I love when a movie says "based on actual events". I realize that some movies that have been "based" are completely different than what actually happens, but when I see it at the beginning of a film, I swallow without chewing. It allows for easier suspension of disbelief. I'll look up the actual facts later.

It is a provocative documentary, filled with interviews and news clippings that lay the story out beautifully for you to absorb...and you do...like a sponge. Their story was a tabloid-fueled beast, before people knew they could do such a thing! You know that feeling you get when you glance at a Tabloid picture of someone from behind, showing all their fat and you see the notation, "find out who on pg..."? You might not grab it and turn to it, but your interest is there whether you want it to be or not. Who isn't curious about the lives of others, right? After this is over, you will be in a state of disbelief on the accuracy. Look it up, this is ALL real...and that's the "crazy" part.

Brian's Rating: C : I am just not all that big on documentaries.  For some reason I keep trying them thinking that there will be one of them that breaks me out of my shell.   Interesting story, but one I would rather have just read in a special interest article over the course of 15 minutes, rather than spend 90 minutes of my time listening to them drag it out.
