The Freak's Rating: B- : A B- for this film? Are you kidding? I'm sure I'll hear that from some people, but the fact is that after more than 20 years since its release, there were still a few laugh out loud moments here. Eddie Murphy was in his prime when this was released and he, along with Hall, are hilarious at times.

Sure, there is the atypical bad boyfriend of the love interest, insanely predictable storylines and the always-necessary synthesizer over utilized in any form of a chase scene. These are all staples of the 1980s comedy, but they work well enough for me to recommend it if someone is interested in seeing why Eddie Murphy is a comedic legend.
