The Freak's Rating: C- : The potential of this storyline is awesome. The way the creators of Children Of Men handled it it ridiculous. There is solid acting here by all involved and enough decent plot twists to merit a mediocre rating, but ultimately there are too many holes in the storyline and you are left unsatisfied.

Brian's Rating: B : This was an interesting plot concept where humanity can no longer have babies. Out of the social wreckage that this breeds in 18 years comes a woman who is all the sudden pregnant. The plot is interesting as it explores what this actually means for what remains of society.

Most of the tension in the film is around what will happen to this baby, and the mother. We never actually find out, but the movie carries us through a tangle of conflicts that arise from such an event.

The movie was good, suspenseful at times, interesting at other times. Large blocks of time were filled with very little dialog, yet the story remained captivating. This points towards good directing.

Downsides are that it is sometimes confusing to understand the agendas from all parties involved. If you miss something, then it could end up costing you 20 minutes of confusion. Also, another downside is that I never really got attached to any character. I get the feeling that I would if I read the book this was based on.

Overall, a good movie. Nothing I would watch again, but I would recommend it to people.
