Synopsis:

Butch and Sundance are the two leaders of the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Butch is all ideas, Sundance is all action and skill. The west is becoming civilized and when Butch and Sundance rob a train once too often, a special posse begins trailing them no matter where they run. Over rock, through towns, across rivers, the group is always just behind them. When they finally escape through sheer luck, Butch has another idea, "Let's go to Bolivia". Based on the exploits of the historical characters.

The Freak's Rating: A : Arguably one of the greatest films ever made, Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid is one of my all-time favorites. Redford, Newman, Ross, George Roy Hill, the list goes on and on. It is phenomenal on so many levels, as a comedy, a romance, a drama and an action picture.

Many films inspired my love of cinema. This is one of the first I ever wanted to watch over and over for the fun of it. I wanted to experience every wisecrack these two made, every shootout they had and every second of their infamous hour long chase sequence. This is cinematic gold in every sense of the word. If you somehow have missed it, please seek it out and give it a whirl.
