Synopsis:

Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) is an average woman struggling against her age, her weight, her job, her lack of a man, and her many imperfections. As a New Year's Resolution, Bridget decides to take control of her life, starting by keeping a diary in which she will always tell the complete truth. The fireworks begin when her charming though disreputable boss (Hugh Grant) takes an interest in the quirky Miss Jones and the ups and downs of their ill-fated relationship prove hilarious and touching at once. Thrown into the mix are Bridget's band of slightly eccentric friends and a rather disagreeable acquaintance (Colin Firth) who Bridget cannot seem to stop running into or help finding quietly attractive.

Angie's Rating: A : This is my all time favorite romantic comedy.  Yes for me it even tops, "When Harry Met Sally"  It's about a single woman, with at least one crazy parent, surrounded by couples and scrutinizing family and coworkers, who is trying to find Mr. right.  The writers, I must say are brillant.  The movie strikes so many nerves for a "singleton" as Bridget says... that's it's both humorous, painful, and endearing to watch her.  Renee did a wonderful job getting ready for this part and acting it.  The fight between her two love interests is histerical!  Something else I found entertaining is the similarities between this movie and Pride and Prejudice.  It's not really important to the movie or it's success, but it added a little extra humor for me.  This movie is definitely worth owning and watching.  You won't regret seeing it.

Sebastian's Rating: A- : as a guy its hard to say this but, this movie is probably the only good chick flick around.

Jen's Rating: A- : A classic chick flick!  This movie is hilarious.  I read the book before watching the movie and the movie didn't disappoint.  Can't wait to see this again.

Alex's Rating: A : Hilarious. I saw it on the TV and loved it.
