The Freak's Rating: D- : In the third and, thank God, final installment to the franchise, Back To The Future 3 bottoms out in nearly every way imaginable. The film retreads many iconic scenes from the first and second film one too many times, with the gimmicks running entirely too thin at this point in time. Speaking of time, if not for my childhood adoration for Fox (Family Ties-based mostly), I wouldn't have wasted another couple hours of my life solidifying the opion I've always had...that the third installment should never have been made.

Studios knew they had a winner with the franchise and signed up for producing a second and third film to shoot simultaneously, saving money in paying actors, directors and writers twice. They made a boatload of cash and destroyed a franchise. I can't wait to watch the series with my daughter, but I'll attempt to stop after the first and makeup my own ending for it, hoping to save her the sadness of watching beloved characters fade into mediocrity.
