Its hard to see Viggo Mortenson in anything
anymore and not see Aragorn. I'm not saying he
can only act like a lone ranger king, but it is
such an iconic role that it instantly jumps to
mind. He does a good job as the lead in this
movie as a small town guy who is mistaken for a
east coast organized crime figure.
My criticism of this movie was in the pacing.
It rolls out quite slow, and ultimately not a
whole lot happens. I think we're supposed to
identify with this simple man who only wants to
have a life with his wife and kids, yet it
thrust into the middle of an old mob grudge.
This does work a bit and you do end up
sympathizing with him and his simple goals, yet
there were parts in the movie where I could not
help but think to myself, "Get on with the plot
already".
The movie was enjoyable to watch, and it was
good enough that I would tell my friends to
watch it. Its worth the rental for sure.
